In July, the results for the National SATs examinations were published and we found out how our Elgar class did in the Reading; Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling; and Mathematics papers that they took in May.
We are delighted to announce that all their hard work and determination paid off as 100% achieved the expected standard in Reading (the National percentage is 71%), 94% achieved the expected standard in Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (the National percentage is 77%) and 94% achieved the expected standard in Mathematics (the National percentage is 75%). Many children achieved very high scaled scores (we deem these to show that they are working beyond their age related expectations in greater depth): 94% in Reading; 78% in Grammar Punctuation and Spelling; and 72% in Mathematics. 56% of our Elgar pupils achieved the maximum scaled score of 120 in at least one paper - a phenomenal achievement!
